I don't know if it's already possible to do this in vmix, but I haven't found how to do it.

Here I have 2 different internet connection links and since vmix allows multiple streaming outputs, I could have the option to choose which network card to use for each output.

So I could use one connection to youtube and another to facebook for example, or even send a backup broadcast to youtube in case there is a drop in the signal of one of the connections.

It's already possible, but not directly out of vMix.

Also vMix is not really designed for that, because the network interface management is handled by the OS, not vMix (e.g when switching from WIFI to LAN, the OS does evenrything and you dont have to change something in vMix).

So you have to manually configure the OS in order to do that. The esiest thing you can do ist blocking one stream on first NIC and the other stream on the second one.
But the more elegant thing would be to do the config on the routers itself, so its independend of the device used.

I would also like to know how to do this, I searched but didn't find much information about it.


If it is possible to put this in vmix it would be an interesting feature, it would make it easier in cases where it is not possible to have a structure making this division through routers.

You will have to do this on the cmd level.
route print
will show you the current routes
You would need to add a new route to FB/YT manually and specify the Gateway IP (which NIC it should go)
the command would look something like
route ADD destination_network MASK subnet_mask gateway_ip metric_cost
