Is there a way to turn on high performance mode by default?
We have tried to look for config files that hold this setting and can't seem to find it. Toggling the High-performance mode will write a last.vmix preset file that is at %appdata\roaming\last.vmix
Have tried to save two versions of the last.vmix present, one after toggling high performance mode and one without.
Launching the last.vmix preset file doesn't change the status of high performance mode.
We want to turn this on be default as we are creating an image for multiple users.

High Performance mode isn't saved as part of the .vmix preset files. It is part of the app config.
This seems to be maintained in %AppData\Local\StudioCoast_Pty_Ltd\vMix64.exe_Url_*\25.0.0.29\user.config
Changes should persist across restarts but if you want to copy settings between different user logins there are export and import options for these settings in the setting sections.
That should only need to be done once for each user.
In C:\Program Files (x86)\vMix there is vMix64.exe.config (& vMix.exe.config) which looks to be a template for these settings. You could try changing HighPerformanceMode to True in there and see if that setting is used for new users. I haven't tried it to see if that has the desired effect.

Hi RichDanby, We eventually found that config file at the %AppData\Local\StudioCoast_Pty_Ltd\vMix64.exe_Url_*\ Modifying this file definitely does change the setting and we can use this via GPO to place the config file for every new user. However, we are trying to find out how the folder name is generated after the Url_*\version\user.config For GPO to deploy, we have to state location of folder. We can possibly utilize some powershell to just deploy to all folders that match a string. While this would work, the user.config file isn't generated until vmix is actually opened for the first time by the user. So we would need to know how to preemptively find out what the Url_* would be
