First of all im glad nvenc works well in vmix, but the lack of anything to fine tune drives me crazy.

When i want to multicorder 6x a 4k input i have different requirements of my hardware encoder then when i am streaming a HQ pre recoded movie that is having a online premiere.
I want some basic quality vs throughput settings

for example
Go to stream, can select on the settings icon and tune everything about the video encoding right? Say veryslow encoding because it is very simple setup but the quality needs to be as high as possible.
Then tap on use hardware encoding........ Oke does this mean all settings in the other menu are ignored?
Do those settings get translated to a similar nvenc profile? because NVENC uses other terminology.

Multicorder, recorder all missing basic quality vs throughput settings.
Just selecting H264 or HEVC and bitrate feels a bit amateurish.

We have a saying here that translates roughly to: better to imitate a great idea then implement a something crappy idea you thought off yourself.
When looking at obs you got only couple of settings but they do a lot on the quality/throughput balance.

Would like to select rate: CBR(why choose this ever?) VBR <----- this one always and or something like CQP.
Preset: from performance to quality in a couple of tiers.
Depth: could we get 10 bit recording plz, everything supports it from camera's, NDI, the Quadro's and even windows.
Profile: could we get outside the normal main(hevc) high(h.264) also a 444 option.

As bonus something with B-frames would be great, the amount and/or reference mode.
Something with Lookahead and multipass for those simple recording or streaming things where the quality of that one thing really matters.

It just a bit strange finding myself fall back on OBS every time when its a matter of absolute quality.
Yes i am aware that most of these options can be implemented with ffmpeg in a xml file with custom profile and stuff, but this is absurd for the most basic encoding parameters on software that is completely focused on stream/record and broadcast.
