I am planning to use vmix on a hp omen 17 inch laptop with a nvidia2060 graphics card but my question is how do I connect my blackmagic hyperdeck shuttle with ssd drive to the laptop to record my program out? The laptop only has one thunderbolt 3 port in which I have connected an enclosure with a decklink capture card. Is it possible to connect the hyperdeck via hdmi through the display port? To record the vmix output? Thanks in advance any help greatly appreciated.

It's way much easier to record internally in vMix but yes you can either : - use the Fullscreen HDMI out of the laptop to an HDMI/SDI converter going to the Hyperdeck (no need for a capture card here) OR - use the EXTERNAL renderer with the capture card It's all explained in the manual : https://www.vmix.com/help23/ExternalOutput1.html
