Question (NDI Related) about the Obsidian Reference system

Hello guys, I'm looking to build a system that would take full advantage of NDI. Based on the Obsidian reference system, it seems like it can only take in 8 NDI inputs at once. Is this a limitation that is on the Hardware level or at a software level? I intend to be on a 10gb network for my setup as well. Thanks in advance for all your inputs.

@ Jaminchoe
It’s more of a “recommendation” than an actual limit, there are two factors at play: a) network bandwidth b) CPU workload The Obsidian Reference System has basically been proven to be stable and reliable with up to 8 NDI sources, going beyond that is certainly possible but is more likely to result in performance issues and/or dropped frames.

Thanks for clarifying this for me. Does anyone have any experience with more than 8 NDI sources?
