This may be a better section for this.

I need to create a continuous chat display for the Zoom chat data source.

It is easy to get the most recent message, or any specific message id. But to display the last X number of messages seems to be almost impossible.

I thought there may be a way to script it, but since ZoomChat is a "virtual" datasource, not a csv or other directly queryable source, I have no idea how to access the data via scripting.

Anyone have any crafty thoughts on how we might achieve grabbing the most recent X number of chat messages?

I have devised an awful hack for getting at ZoomChat messages, in order to display a rolling chat history as an output.

However, it is a really crappy, inefficient, ugly hack that is only needed because datasource access is... um... "non-ideal".

Could we get just a couple crude, basic tools for crawling datasources? Even just a simple "display the last X entries" would do a lot of good.

Pretty please?
