Hi,
I am obligated to use Dell so I have a Precision 5860 that I tried to match as closely to Obtanium specs as I could. 2565x CPU, quad RAM channels, RTX 4080 ect.
However I have had big problems with audio dropouts in vMix(and other tested sw) and I think this is related to high DPC latencies I can measure in Latencymon.

I have tried everything I have found regarding these latencies, including swapped motherboard, CPU and PSU, different GPU's including an A4000. I have tried disabling all network, all USBs ect. All BIOS and software settings and tricks me and Dell support have found has been tested without getting to the bottom of this.

I get a DPC spike over 1000µs every 5-15 minutes-ish, and this often correlates to a dropout in audio. I thought it might be an audio issue since I was using Dante Virtual Sound card, so I shelled out for a RME Digiface Dante usb interface. It is not the Dante network since I have routed the signal the same way and looped it in the Digiface to other recorders which don't get the same dropouts. Also the internal soundcard gives the same result.

If you own an Obtanium, can you run LatencyMon (free home version) for at least 20 minutes with nothing else running and see if you get similar spikes to me? I want to find out if this is exclusively a Dell issue or an Intel cpu/chipset issue.

Thanks!

This is a typical scenario after ~15 minutes
