Try reinstalling 11.0.0.65.
Some other software has been known to remove other video devices like vMix Video but the installation of 11.0.0.65 will definitely restore it.
Also make sure all programs including things in the system tray such as skype are also closed.

Martin

To use vMix in FMLE you will need to click Start at the bottom of vMix next to where it says "External".
This will begin sending the video to FMLE.
thanks 1 user thanked admin for this useful post.

hi Martin,

I keep my vmix installations current, so just updated to v 11.0.0.65.

I noticed that the update info and version number on the website is still on v 11.0.0.62 . maybe you could update the active version number in the download window so it is more easy to check against the installed version, in case one would miss an item in the forum about updates.

thanks,
stefan

hi Martin,

point of attention: I was setting up and testing my rig for a recording, using a scaler and input into avermedia vga capture. Anyway... i thought the thing was broken but it turned out ( after 1,5 hours of testing ) it was a minor vmix version issue.

I keep my versions current, but maybe it is a good idea to display update info in the vmix window. this worked for a while but now you really have to check the forum to find out there is a new minor update.

is there some way to push notifications about new versions...

greetings,
stefan

I've just updated the web site to 11.0.0.66 so older versions of vMix 11 should report
that an update is available.

Thanks,

Martin

Can not find entrypoint from procedure CreateEventExW in DLL-file KERNEL32.dll
(OS is WindowsXP SP3)

Could you click Send Error Report when the error appears or if that is not possible
create a screenshot.

This error is due to a component of vMix that requires Windows Vista or higher.
vMix will still run after you click ok, however you will need to upgrade to Windows 7 or 8
as XP is reaching end of life and will no longer be supported:

My Osprey 440 is not working stable in Win7. (see this thread)
I hope vMix 12 will work without errors in WinXP.

As Windows XP support ends in April there is no guarantee
vMix will continue to work, it's time to upgrade!

hi Martin,

i had a recording session today and every thing went well before the break. after that recording was ok until the system had a hangup on one of the inputs. i restarted the computer (actually i should have turned it off completely! and then restarted it.) so the third leg the recording sound was terible.

i suspect two directions to find the source of the hangup:

since sound was degrading on the second recording at the end i suspect something with the gain or compressor settings. could it be that this gets in some kind of loop over a long time.

secondly it could be a conflict with the decklink mini and or avermedia card.

i do make long test sessions and burn in tests, but only in recordings i do a lot of switching and mixing etc. I will send you the three log files for you to see. the third recording after the restart was a mess.

ps i notice the hang up because one of the inputs hangs. the recording will continue but i can not really do anything anymore... i have to hard kill vmix and restart the recording after restarting the computer. vmix will not react to any command in that situation. i have reported this problem before. i thought it had something to do with the bm mini and a miss match in settings between sdi or hdmi input on the card itself. but i made sure it wascset to capture hdmi as i was using hdmi.

greeting, stefan

If the hangup happens again, immediately go to Task Manager and under the Processes tab
(or details tab in Win8) right click the vMix process and select "Create Dump File".

It will create a large file that will need to be sent to us for further analysis.

You an also send through a small clip of sound to listen to.

Regards,

Martin
