We always build our productions using a combination of a setting (.config) and a preset (.vmix). Which means that when we open upp the production we start vMix, import the settings file and then open the preset.

There is already the possibility to open vMix by specifying which preset to use. For example, by double-clicking the .vmix file which launhces vMix and opens up that preset. This implies that the most recently used settings file is applied.

I would like to see a similar option where vMix, if called with an optional .config file, would apply the settings in that file. And ideally also a new Settings option that specifices a preset file to open, Last, or None (default).

This would ease up the production start for us, and presumably many others who also always combine unique settings for all presets. While that improvement is a small deal, a bigger one is for everyone who want to automate the start.

A few related feature requests that I have found over the years:

https://forums.vmix.com/...ts/t2215-Startup-options
https://forums.vmix.com/...t-configuration-checkbox
https://forums.vmix.com/...ve-vMix-s-window-setting

I like this idea, now that I know I can save shortcuts with the preset, why not all configurations as well?

If possible as an easily editable XML file as is the case with the Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers.
