I'm sure this has been asked numerous times. I just purchased the Vmix HD for doing live proadcast, primarily on Facebook Live and Youtube. I have it set at 1280 x 720 (required by facebook) The video appears low quality, almost as if the old style streams - not smooth.
I was using the Facebook App for desktop, but chose Vmix as it seems a lot more stable.
The quality was awesome with the FB app, though with Vmix seems much lower quality.
Using Windows 10, Logitech 625 HD webcam (always have used this with great success)..

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Greg

Vmix: https://www.facebook.com...ideos/10210195303937342/ (a bit slower, and video not as crisp in clarity.

Hi

vMix is fully configurable. It is not a simple "push the button" software.
Many settings may contribute to quality, bitrate being the main one.
Check the documentation to learn how to configure your encoder to reach your expectations.

@ gdudzinski

Welcome to the forum. I just wanted to also mention that your FB App Stream was a square picture (720x720 likely) compared to the vMix widescreen Stream (1280x720) which can also have an impact on stream quality at the same bit rate (more data being sent) and although the FB app stream was smoother, the vMix stream looked sharper (IMHO), was it the same camera? As DWAM states, there are multiple setting options available and it may take some trial and error to find the settings that work best for you.
In any event, there is a thread in Feature Requests about the square aspect ratio if you care to add your voice:
