Couple of questions on custom graphics in case anyone knows. We make custom titles for each broadcast that we do so they work with the branding of the stream etc. Does anyone know how to make them load when opening the vMix preset with them included? Whenever vMix is closed and re-opened all of the titles are offline and you have to re-add them in. Really annoying but not the end of the world, would just be sweet if it didn't do it.

Secondly, does anyone know how to make a title animate in/out by only using one storyboard in Blend? It would be awesome if you could make a storyboard and then it animate onto the screen in one direction and then play the storyboard in reverse to animate back off again.

Cheers for any suggestions!

2- there is an example with and in and out animation standard with vMix (AnimatedInOutHD.xaml)

Open all titles you want in vMix then safe them as a preset... when you start vMix later on, you can simply load that preset will all your titles...

If you want to load more than one preset, don't forget to choose for "append" for preset 2, 3, 4.... xxx else the presets you have loaded earlier will disappear....

As you say you would think that the titles would just pop back up but for some reason when I re-open the preset they are all offline. I'll attach one of our titles, it would be interesting to see if it appears offline for you.

Do the titles need to be in a specific folder/format or can they be added from anywhere?

Well it's not just you.

I tried adding your xaml to my title directory.

It shows fine in the title preset menu and loads and runs fine.

Sure enough, no matter what I do it, it shows as media offline whenever I try reloading vMix.

I've tried using 'last', saving the project as a preset and tried saving it set to live or not and every time it comes up as 'offline'.

I made a title template by modding a standard vMix title and it works fine when I add it to the vMix title directory.

It loads and reloads when I reopen vMix.

I know absolutely NOTHING about writing xmal files but do you need to add something like the first part of the vMix template as it seems to reference the titles directory?

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>
<UserControl Width="1920" Height="1080" Panel.ZIndex="500" InputMethod.IsInputMethodEnabled="True" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/winfx/2006/xaml/presentation" xmlns:mtl="clr-namespace:vMixTitleLibrary;assembly=vMixTitleLibrary">

Forgive me if this is an idiotic, naive suggestion.

@ nomski

I suspect there is an error in the coding somewhere along the line, such that vMix can't load it.

This is the error message being thrown:

Presets_OpenInput
'[Unknown]' property does not point to a DependencyObject in path '(0).(1).[0].(2).[1].(3)'.

Which edition of Expression Blend was used to create the XAML file?

I don't get any error messages, it just shows up as offline on re-opening and then I have to click on the settings cog for each input and re-add the correct title to each one. Annoying if there is one or two, a bit of a night mare when there's ten!

Resolved! If you put the title in the root title directory where all the others are then it works like a charm! Don't know if there is a way round this but it's fine as we can just add and remove them form the folder as and when we need them.

Thanks to NHT for his comment that made me try it!

Yes this is the case,
It is a pain in the rear because that folder needs admin rights to save into by default in Windows 10. So creating and working on tiles from this folder requires saving to another location first. A confusing pain for new users.

... Admin rights in Win 8/10 are a "pain in te rear", but this can easily be solved by not installing in the default folder (\Program Files\) but in another folder on C:.

Don't know (didn't pay any attention to it) if vMix can be installed in another folder...

I use homemade xaml's too and for me putting them into C:\Program Files (x86)\vMix\titles doesn't fix the issue of vMix not loading them on launch. Did you do anything else too?
