NDI WebLink for macOS now shipping.

A very quick news update about Sienna's latest NDI app for macOS -NDI WebLink

NDI WebLink provides a bridge between NDI and HTML, allowing you to view NDI Video sources on any web browser on any device on your network, including iPhones, iPads and Android devices, smart TVs and set top boxes, desktop computers and laptops running any operating system.

"NDI WebLink for macOS"

You will find it in the Apple App Store for macOS.

iPhones and iPads use Safari to connect to NDI WebLink (running on macOS as server for the whole network)

In fact some of our apps like Sienna Cloud for NDI have been Mac/Windows/Linux since day 1. The main challenge for non macOS apps (and the reason we haven't done much for Windows to date) is a suitable commercial distribution mechanism. All of our recent developments have been coded cross platform but only released for macOS initially.

We are working out a commercial distribution mechanism for our non-macOS commercial apps at present.

The Apple App Store is extremely handy for developers, doing a lot of the messy administrative work for us - which is essential for low-priced apps sold to international markets and in particular across Europe. We are working on establishing a similar presence on Windows and Linux based application outlets.

NDI WebLink for Windows should be available soon, so please stay tuned for news. It might be available via the Newtek Store, or perhaps elsewhere- to be confirmed.
