who prompts, on intel intel X9 vMix (10 cores) is very incorrectly works - it slows down, hangs and loads the processor very much. Render time below 40 ms is not lowered. (Nvidia 1080ti)

Guys, the situation is funny and sad at the same time! Post 2 days struggled with the situation and already wanted to return the components back to the seller. All tests the system was successful (CPU-Z, GPU-Z and much more), but the solution to the problem was that the graphics card was not detected by some graphics applications at all (although in Windows and vMix and BIOS), there were no errors.

Result!
https://www.asus.com/ua/...oards/PRIME-X299-DELUXE/
made a too weak latch for PCIe 3.0 x16 where the NVIDIA 1080 TI graphics card was installed and when it was used, it apparently partially departed partially.
I was helped in this case by usual cheap plastic ties for 2 dollars packing.

Now everything works great.

I've had similar issues with GPU before, and ended up returning to the seller.. You should do the same.

Using plastic ties to solve your issue shouldnt be the way to go.

Best,

Murchik,

Very interesting and I am happy for you.

What an amazing system. Will you please tell me what benefit in vMix comes from so much memory. Everything you did was thoughtful; and, I sure would like to know the rational for your RAM decision.

Thank you very much.

My guess would be not so much for vMix but for after effects running on the same system. probably for a eSport setup i do the same although i haven't moved to the x299 just yet.

The only VMIX use for high amounts of ram is to add DELAY on inputs. I remember using 16GB once to delay a couple of minutes in a input.

I use 32GB on my setups, but rarely use more than 16.

best,
RS

You have not read it to the end, the system is collected not only for vMix but also for other works related to video production. Moreover, with such an amount of RAM it makes sense to completely disable the Windows paging file (manually, by hand, since no matter how much memory Windows still uses, the paging file is used). Then you get a significant increase in performance (without a swap file), and the average memory size for the regular work is 17-55 gigabytes. With more serious work and a complex rendering, you will actually begin to understand that there is not enough memory!

Very well thought, considering your PC isn't vmix only :)
