I have my setup connected with xKeys and one of the things I want to do during a live game production is mute all the field sources and have my playlist (commercials) play with no other sound.

On a physical audio mixer, this is easily accomplished with "Solo" - but the solo in vMix doesn't seem to do anything.

Is this a bug or do I just not understand how to set this up in vMix?

"Solo" is a monitoring tool, that is when you want to just hear that Input in your headphones.
For your situation, I would look into setting up a "Trigger" that turns OFF the various Audio sources you may have active when you go to that Input (commercials).
