how about a Virtual PZ control ?
imagine a 4k camera on a HD setup.
you could create virtual zooms and Pans in HD on a 4k video source:)

The virtual sets reflect pre-programmed shots. Not unlike creating virtual inputs with different crop, XYZ settings. The merge effect lets you smoothly move from one shot to another.

There is another thread here where someone asks for LIVE PTZ control. That is, joystick control of the XYZ position values of a 4K source. This is live PTZ mimicry. No presets.

The question for Martin is how much PTZ complexity to built into vMix before saying you'll need a third-party PTZ controller.
