I am working with this IP camera. It is streaming into vMix just fine, but with dropped frames. The camera is set to 30 FPS but I see in vMix it is setting the input at 29.97 fps so I'm thinking that is the reason for the dropped frames. Is there any way to force vMix to change the incoming framerate to 30 fps?

Hi Kricher!
I took a look at my settings, and found the same. The Amcrest camera is only configurable to even frame numbers (30), and vMix imports the device as 29.97.

I have not found a way to fix this, but have also not noticed any dropped frames.

In the Amcrest configuration, I am configured to best quality, max bit rate, and frame interval of 60.

After some consideration, I did find you can change this input to 30FPS, by changing the vmix display Master frame rate to NTSC 30p. After a restart, I was able to verify it also changed the stream input to 30.

Thanks madness! I think that is the solution I was looking for. I was getting dropped frames no matter if I was using the RTSP stream or the VLC plugin. After implementing your suggestion, the rtsp stream has a lot fewer dropped frames. I'll keep working with it later today.

Thanks again...

I have two of these cameras and have them direct wired vs WiFi. The performance still is not 100% but is an improvement. The traffic on your network will also cause dropped frames. Great camera for the price and they work great as security cameras.
