More of a theoretical question, than a practical question, but whats the maximum theoretical speed one could pole the API. I have an application that reads the API every 5 seconds, which is actually a bit too slow, which just got me thinking what frequency is safe without materially affecting the performance of VMIX itself?

I polling every 100 ms for monitoring sound level in web interface.
It's look good. vMix is in normal operations.
I use cpu ryzen7.

60 times a second. That's what I remember when talking to Martin. We poll the API about 17ms-34ms

While 60 is the theoretical maximum you will be able to retrieve useful information on each update
(since 60fps is the maximum supported in vMix), it is extreme overkill.

For example audio levels are only updated 10 times a second, so that is probably the maximum I would recommend.
