You can do that now with vMix 4K and then transition between the new shots with the merge function.

Good answer Peter! having recently tested this out it works really well. Another method is using a blank virtual set and use the 4k input as a layer. Then you can choose to cut or pan transitions etc with the four position available. Which you can also do with multiple virtual inputs.

Yes cropping could be amazing!

Add to it a joystick controller and WOW!

I tried to suggest similar concept but got NO interest at all from users or developpers... maybe was not clear enough in my description?
