In a previous post I told people I used Speedify to bond internet connections together to get a reliable stream.

This is no longer required as I purchased a Telstra Nighthawk M1 which combines up to 4 frequencies (carriers) together to provide VERY VERY FAST internet.

In some tests I got 160mbits down and 40mbits up in Newcastle.

According to their marketing, some CBD areas can reach over 900mbits/s

So I was streaming simultaneously to YouTube, Periscope and Facebook with NO issue whatsoever.

I purchased it outright and used an existing prepaid Telstra SIM.

This would be also great for people who want to use vMix Call.. it would EASILY handle multiple callers.

NOTE: I am in Newcastle so some country areas may not have multiple frequencies available like we do?

I'm sure many other countries would have the same.

Great for you aussies, but not yet for us in the old world ;) see this article

One thing with Speedify is that is supports multiple mobile operators. I guess the M1 will initially be tied to one, as with Telstra.

What kind of rates are they charging down under for such a high speed internet service?
We only have three main carriers here in Canada, and multiple piggy backers on them, but the bottom line is, we pay some of the highest cellular rates in the world for some of the poorest bandwidth availability, making such "bonding" technology or 4Gx Gigabit LTE somewhat cost prohibitive in my humble opinion.

I do maybe 6 live streams on 4G each year (other streams via wired connections).

So I am on a pre-paid system where I deposit $150AUD and that gives me 20gb of data on Australia's fastest network plus it adds 12 months of access.

There was a period where I used a lot of data and purchased a lot of recharges so I currently have 17gb in my account plus 23 months of access in my account.

If I wanted to stream more, then I would go on a monthly fee, with the following plans you get cheaper data but you are stuck with paying a fixed monthly fee so it's only good for regular streamers.

If I was only sending a single 3mbit stream then all carriers in Australia are good. But I sometimes use mine to stream to 3 CDN's plus vMix Call plus other stuff. So in that case, Telstra is necessary.

And of course, you can also use your mobile phone as a modem, but I don't because I use it to test streams and make phone calls etc.

There is a monthly fee I guess you need to do the sums.

But have had no problems so far (one year in).

I second using Switchboard.live and use regularly I just upgraded so could use custom RTMP and stream to Youtube and Facebook at the same time with only using
one upload bandwidth of approx 2.5mbs - 3.5mbs

I stopped using it... it worked some times and not others.

With Telstra M1 it's 100% reliability.
