For some reason my custom Facebook stream has stopped working. I have not had this problem until last Monday.

I set up 3 streams. One to Twitter/periscope, one to Facebook, and one to Youtube Live Stream. First I configure Periscope/Twitter, then the Facebook feed. I configure Facebook as follows. First I use the API you have to attach to Facebook, then I change the stream type to a custom stream (RTMP). My Facebook info gets added automatically to the custom stream. Then I set up Youtube.

I ask Facebook to stream to my Timeline. When I start the Streams I get no errors at all and everything looks fine, however there is no stream to my timeline. Any suggestions?

Somewhere on this forum it was already explained why this doesn't work any more: Facebook doesn't like that what you stream to Facebook is simultaneous streamed to YouTube of whatever other place. It's their policy to block your stream...
thanks 1 user thanked Mari for this useful post.

WOW. Even with RTMP? If so, goodbye Facebook. I got no errors at all from VMIX.

AFAIK Facebooks policy concerns what an API developer may do in terms of interacting with their server, not how a video publisher streams.

Still, it boggles me how Facebook can see that vMix is used to stream to another service besides Facebook. I am still open for that it might be something else that is the underlying issue here.

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I heard on a vMix Funtime video that Facebook now requires you to be an admin of the specific Facebook Page/Group in order to stream a live video.

You only need to be admin if your using Vmix Social to pull live comments from Facebook. You can still stream if you are a manager/editor etc of a page.

I don't know about anyone else but don't you find it creepy and borderline illegal for Facebook to know that you are streaming to multiple sources. If you are using their API I understand, but from RTMP? It's none of their business who you stream to or how many people you stream to.
