When I'm using the External Multi-View, I'd like to be able to disable the Preview & Output panels in the main vMix window, to make space to display more inputs.

Hope this is not discussed anywhere else ... I did find lots of posts asking about turning off just the preview - but I'd like to turn off both.

FANTASTIC Product - Thank You!

I would like this too. I was doing a large event and we used a dedicated program monitor. So in multiview i'd like to get rid of the program/preview.

If you do that where would the transtion buttons go ? And Master Vu Meter ? And the timers for videos ? etc...

This would be a complete redesign of the UI

Perhaps another solution would be to provide the ability to Pin/Un-Pin the Inputs Display into a floating window, which could be sized or maximized onto another display monitor. Not unlike vMix Replay, Lists and the Audio Mixer.

This would allow the User to customize the set-up according to his/her needs. On a HD display this would allow approximately 40 inputs, and on an UltraHD display 160 inputs when maximized. Further customization of the Input Sizing can be done using the Settings/Display/InputSize menu option in vMix. The ultimate ‘MultiView’, and with User controls. The now vacant space under the vMix Main UI could contain the Audio Mixer, Lists or even vMix Replay.

+1 - I like the idea of docking / undocking / closing the Prev/Output ... that would be a far more flexible arrangement.

No redesign necessary, the Multiview would simply open as it currently does on a separate monitor without the preview and output. Or better yet StepBackIn_Time's solution: provide the ability to dock/Un-dock the Inputs Display to move it to a separate monitor.

I think the forum member is BETech with the idea.

I agree with DWAM that removing Preview and Output from the main window would imply a re-design of the UI.

Please consider and comment PFMB's request vmix 19 new graphical interface full Floating Windows as I believe it encompasses the need behind the request to turn off Preview & Output. As well as BETech's undocking solution.

Hello,
it would be nice if one the preview in the program window could switch off, because this is not so important for me and would be thereby created place for other windows. This would arrange me also in addition to update on a higher version from vMix.
Best Regards

I know this is old, but I agree with the need for this option. Has there been an answer to this request that I don't see?

I am an AV system designer and am currently setting up a system for a client. We will use an external monitor for program & preview and I was thinking of using a touch screen for the main vMix interface. Having more room for inputs would be great with this setup. Also, a section for shortcut buttons would be super helpful.

Thanks guys for your great work with vMix. It really is an excellent product!
