I'm about to have access to one of the new NewTek NDI PTZ Cameras... does anyone have any experience using vMix for PTZ Control? I need to know which profile to use, or what my "backup plan" may need to be. I know I can figure it out in time, but the goal is to do a quick Unbox-to-Use video. I'd LOVE to be able to sit down, broadcast, open my boxes and get set up in a few minutes without looking like a goofball... if that's possible.

I appreciate any help you can give.

I don't know... maybe it's better to just iterate through options and drag it out a bit anyway... I'm happy to mention the source if the information is provided here.

Best,

Chad

They work fine. You have to install the hx drivers. Use the SONY viscaIP control settings.

Thanks, Steve. I'll have to include any kludgy downloads as part of that process.

Best,

Chad

My "Box to Broadcast" did NOT go as smoothly as planned... I didn't get as far as controller profiles, but in later testing, you're absolutely correct: Sony VISCA over IP is the profile that gets the job done.

Thank you, Steve!

Hi.
I have the same camera, and although the profile works for control, it doesn’t program the focus position.
The newtek Control Software does and also the ir remote control for the Camera.
I’m wondering if there is a planned native Control profile that includes focus in the presets.
It’s fairly important to have it :-p
