For those having flashing and/or delay issues with the clock, could you confirm the graphics card installed?
I suspect the input previews / output can be slightly faster as they use the graphics card directly, while the clock underneath the transitions
is a UI control and updates via Windows.

Mine is a GTX 650 Ti. And it's flashing again.

So what exactly is "high input performance mode"? There is nothing in the User Guide about it.

Could you improve ndi performance, now i use hp z840 workstation ( and 19 vMix ) as videomixer with 4 x 1 Gb cards and have limitation in 8 ndi sources.
When i add more than 8 ndi sources this sources look not smooth.

Can you provide more details?

What exactly do you mean by "4 x 1 GB cards?" Memory? Video cards? Network interfaces?

Are you operating at 1080p?

If so, I would expect that 8 NDI sources is about all you could manage over a single gigabit link. That might be the upper limit even if operating at 720p60.

Now i use follow configuration:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
CPU: 2 x intel xeon CPU E5-2650 v4 2.20 GHz
RAM: 64 Gb
SSD: NVMe ( default in HP Z840 )
Video card: GTX 1080
Network interfaces: 2 Gibit interfaces ( default in HP Z840 ) + 2 Gibit interfaces ( PCI card Intel X540-T2 ) and Cisco Gibit Switch

All sources are 1080p ( 5 desktop, eatch with folow sources: camera ( via vMix ) + Skype ( NDI Scan Convertor ) + Chrome ( NDI Scan Convertor ) )
I have tests with teaming ( bonding ) and without, with same results.
As result i saw, that cpu and network was not overload, it look like software limitation.

Which graphics card is installed? That is the key to good performance with vMix.

With your test setup running, go to Settings -> About and click Send Support Report
and drop us an email with your key to info@vmix.com.au

There a number of reasons of hidden performance limits on the PC that could be affecting it.

Rest assured, vMix uses the fastest possible path for NDI possible, so there is not much we can do on the vMix side
to improve things, but we can suggest optimisations on the PC.

Arduino Tally lights support is broken (again).

At least Arduino Micro based systems are not working any more ("ConnectError").

It seems to got broken after March 2017 and its now affecting vMix 19 and 20.

It was working fine with v18.0.0.59.

Hope this will be fixed ASAP.

Kind regards,
J

P.S.
Many nice features in v20!

Cant wait the feature that every input (also non camera/call/audio) could be sent individually to NDI - if so desired.

Hi,

I can confirm Arduino Tallys still working fine in vMix 20.
There were some compatibility improvements for the Mega added a while back, but I have also tested the Uno and Micro just now.

Check to make sure you are running the Arduino drivers and not the default windows ones.
Should say driver version 1.2.3 in device manager.

Failing that, try reinstalling Firmata firmware.

Martin

Strange.

Tested vMix 19 and 20 with 2 machines W8.1 and W10 and neither works correctly with vMix and Arduino Micro.

I did install the drivers found on vMix site to W8.1 machine but still not working with vMix 19 or 20.

Re-installed vMix 18 on W10 machine and its working as supposed with Arduino Micro.

Device Manager is showing Arduino driver 1.2.3 on every machine.

Kind regards,
J

I found two bugs.
I have 4k edition.

When I connected to two vmix calls, and i change quality of sending video. It change to both vmix call connections.
Its like linked. I cant change quality without changing second vmixcall connection.

Also when one of that connections is to android. Quality change, change also crop of video. First i connected as fullhd, and then i change quality to low. The result is video on android is cropping to left top frame.

I love the multiple independent bit-rate and resolution settings! Now I don't need two computer to stream to YouTube and Facebook.

Also, the extra outputs will allow us to generate a custom playlist with another laptop and feed it into our main production PC as an NDI source. Although I would still love the ability to pull in a playlist as an input.

Kol0, I think if you want to send different stream resolutions to each caller, they have to be using their own 'output'. Eg. Call #1 might be getting the main production output (#1), and your second call would need to receive another output (eg. 2-4). All calls sharing the same output will have the same resolution. This is done to save processing. Every different resolution you send will require more system resources.

Hope this helps.

Giles.

Has the source of this Arduino Micro bug been found yet?

I haven't been able to replicate the bug unfortunately, it is possible you have an old Firmata on your device
that no longer works since vMix 18 or so, updating that should solve the problem.

Hi.

I have compiled the latest firmata to Arduino Micro and it just not working with 19 nor 20.

I recall that there was this same bug happening with v16 of vMix.

In version 16.0.0.115 it was fixed and it worked since then with no problem up to vMix v18.

In v19 it was not working any more.

Could it be some kind of USB/COM port allocation or some kind on depency issue in vMix?

Kind regards,
Jan

Hi! Not sure if its intended or a mistake, but the new TCP API is super picky, its case sensitive.

Another question, is there any documentation on what events we can subscribe to, or what syntax we need to pass?
I'm only able to subscribe ti the example tally command.

Thanks
