@ jozee

I'm not 100% clear on your set-up, BUT, vMix only shows the "timeline" on the actual Video Input when in Preview or Program.
The "workaround" for showing the "timeline" of a video in a "MultiLayer" Input (there's a 'movement to change the name of "Multiview" Inputs to "MultiLayer" Inputs to avoid confusion with the "MultiView" Output screen), is to build your MultiLayer Input on top of the actual Video Input. This means you need to first create a "Virtual Copy" of the Video Input that can be used as one of your Overlays of the MultiLayer. Essentially, you are covering the actual video with itself and whatever else you use as Overlays in that MultiLayer (Multiview) Input, but it will show the timeline of that video when live.
It could get tricky if you want that for each of your 4 videos (i.e. you'd have to make an identical MultiLayer for each Video Input and set things up so that you are not restarting each video on each transition, which wont be visible since you transitioning to an identical looking Input.
Hope that answers your need.

Hi and thanks for your answer,
maybe i wasnt clear enough but that is no what i wanted.
when i open uo a multiview (not multilayer) an secondary video an choose the regular layout i can see program and preview in large windows an top and 8 input windows which can show me the remaining time of each input.
if i change the multiview layout to quad mode i can see program and preview on top and input 1 and 2 on bottom.
i want "quad, with inputs 1 and 2 on top and 3 and 4 on buttom, showing the remaining time of each input

Hi

the quad image layout is easy to create using a multiview and affecting it to your fullscreen monitor.
However, what you are expecting is typical from a playout server which vMix is not! vMix first goal is to produce from live inputs like cameras. Which explains why there are no extra options/features for displaying remaining time.

If you need such features, look for a software designed to do what you're expecting.

@ jozee

Unfortunately, the MultiView display is not configurable beyond what is currently available.
I believe similar requests have been made before about improving the MultiView Display and it's options.
I suggest searching the "Feature Requests" thread and adding your support there or if your specific request is not found, make a new request.
The developers are keen to provide features that users want and the best way for them to take notice is for users to support those requests that they want or see benefit in.
Hope that helps.

P.S. Even I get confused about which "MultiView" people are referring to... lol.

Actually it can be accomplished up to 10 inputs at once.

Example.

1) Add new input...
2) Select Mulitview.
3) Select desired Multiview.
4) Add Inputs to Mulitview.
5) Go into Setup and set Fullscreen or External 2 to Input just created.

@ desmar

This only answers half of jozee's request.
Although this would place the desired Inputs into the Fullscreen Output, no solution exists to display the "timeline" of the playing video.

in the attached image you can see it happening in the multiview, i want the same thing but to see the only 4 i puts in quad mode.
