HI !

Thanks for the show last night, and finally a light about vst support.

here are my tips:

- use only vst3 64 bits support. ( vst 2.4 is no longer supported by steinberg )
- use a plugin inspector on vMix start to test all plugins.
this way vMix can know if any plugin can cause instability or not.
if it fails, it goes to a black list and it does not load.
new info from steinberg :
"New Plug-in Sentinel scans all your plug-ins at start up to check
which are valid and which might harm your system’s stability "
- full vst ADC ( automatic delay compensation )
each plugin informs the host about its audio delay process.
this way vMix can do the math and keep audio and video in good sync.
- create vst3 racks on master bus and inputs.
- vst3 midi plugin control.
- dynamic or static cpu dsp vst3 plugin process.

Kind Regards,

PFBM

Harrison ? reaper ? all very good indeed!

but... direct connection and management inside vMix is better..
one o the the options i see is similar to rewire technology...
but automatic delay compensation inside vMix is the best way to have best audio video sync.

take this great example :

one of the best on air processors as good as orban and others...

http://stereotool.com

here is an audio example:

Free & simple ‘Loudness’ solution, PedalBoard2 (http://www.niallmoody.com/apps/pedalboard2), VBCable (http://vb-audio.pagesperso-orange.fr/Cable/) and LoudMax loudness compressor/expander (http://loudmax.blogspot.com.au/).

K-Meter (http://www.mzuther.de/en/software/kmeter/) provides a good indication of the output loudness. Latency around 15 milli-seconds depending on your computer hardware. Good round-up with the already included vMix channel gain, equalizer, compressor, noise gate and the channel mixer. Of course, you can always add additional VST effects into PedalBoard2.

Great Idea ! i suggest using :

http://odeus-audio.com.au/Odeus/AsioLinkPro

with pedalboard2..... :)

full asio support.

but... all this is temporary.... because having vst3 inside vmix can overcome latency issues...
and avoid audio/video sync problems.....

Cheers,

Dear PFMB,
I believe you have made your request and provided suitable motivation for it. Simply bumping/repeating it does no good.

There is no way Martin may have missed it. My experience is that sometimes the requests are suddenly implemented (after some time and without any comment in the request topic), sometimes they are not implmented, and VERY occassionally he asks for clarification/discussion.

My understanding, based on what Martin has said, is also that v19's new functionality is basically limited to vMix Call.

Requests / Sugestions are frequently put on the list for the next version based on the number of users requesting it...
audio processing inside vmix is very poor ... compressor does even have a gain reduction meter...
opening it for vst3 plugin support , will improove the audio part.
i have benn requesting it since version 15 i guess....
audio the poor video guy... is non sense ... and not many vMix users have digital audio mixers with a lot of processing power...
yes Martin promised to put vst into vmix as soon as he can do it stable with no compromise.
yes i´ve managed to use vst processing on vmix. it works, but its not very user friendly...
and it really maked a big diference.
no need for you to be bothered with me an others, insisting on it :)

we will wait for it in version 20 , we hope :)

Chees,

PFBM
