There is no USB3.0 mini recorder from Blackmagic. That is probably why you can't find info on it. They have a USB 3.0 intensity shuttle. I have heard in the rumors mill they are coming out with some USB3.1 (Type C) devices at NAB, but only time will tell.

Afaik I think this doesn't exist
BMD Mini Recorder models are PCI-e or Thunderbolt only

If you wish to stick to USB3.0 have a look at magewell devices (which work much better than BMD Intensity models) or search within the forum for other existing models

Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 Works with vmix?
In the supported hardware guide only thunderbolt appears.
If it works, I'll buy 2 of these for streaming sports.

Tks.

It might work but many people have trouble with it

BTW, it is not a good idea to go for multiple USB3 devices (unless you have a PCIe multi channel USB3 extension card like this one for example https://www.startech.com...XUSB3S44V_Datasheet.pdf)

USB3 is limited to 5Gbps.
A 1080 fullHD video signal transported via HDMI 1.3/1.4 can have a bandwidth of 3.4Gbit/s so more than 1 will produce drops and problems....

If you use a desktop computer, you'd rather buy a PCI-e capture card with 2 or 4 inputs.
If you have a laptop with only USB3 ports, it's more complicated to have several inputs, unless you use Thunderbolt or USB3.1 type C

I have a DELL laptop that has 2 USB 3.0 ports, my idea is to connect 1 card in each port to connect 1 camera in each.

It would work this way?

Sorry for the errors in writing, I'm using google translator.
Tks.

Not sure, USB3 is challenging sometimes, but maybe... if you stick to 720p or 480p.

These Magewell USB3 devices work pretty well, I think better than Blackmagic Intensity models

I also found this (never tried but maybe somebody did)

I have used the Intensity USB3.0, but like everyone else it has not been stable enough for me to rely on it. I would try the Magewell or the AJA U-Tap devices.

I totally agree with you Curtis - I recommend to stick with Magewell XI100USB or AJA U-Tap.
